Residential Recycling Free at the Citizen’s Convenience Center (CCC)

Residential recycling is free for residential customers and materials may be taken to the Citizen's Convenience Center, located at 5800 28th Street.

Secure Dumpster Ordinance Update

The existing ordinance “8.24.130 Litter-Covered Receptacles Required," has been updated and clarifies that all trash receptacles must remain covered and secured at all times.

2026 SCPD Youth Academy

Applications for the 2026 Youth Academy are now being accepted. The Youth Academy is offered during the summer for students who are at least 14 years old, to enhance the relationship between the youth in Sioux City and the Police Department.
